BENGALI DEPARTMENT

Bengali Department of  Sitaram Mahato Memorial College started as a Pass department in 2013. In the year 2014 in Honours course in Bengali was introduced. Presently, the department consists three faculty members:

1. Aindrila Saha Mukherjee (Assistant Professor & Coordinator of the Department)

2. Mrs. Manimala Mahato (SACT)

3. Mr. Sandip Mahato (SACT)

4. Mr. Dactar Paramanik (SACT)

Number of Honours students is 77. The students are serious about their courses and classes. They try to attend classes regularly. The faculty members are trying to increase their ability to response in the classes. We organize some short topic conversations so they can speak and face any kind of interview in future. We have a good library and we are trying to get more books, not only the syllabus oriented ones but even  beyond our syllabus. Despite lagging behind in infrastructure, the department, through the student-teacher collaboration, is trying to make surge ahead.
